The Ant and the Grasshopper
The Ant works hard in the heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter. The Grasshopper knows he’s a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.
Come winter, the government took the Ant’s supplies to keep the Grasshopper warm and well fed. The Ant has no food or shelter so he dies out in the cold.

I like to use a different animal analogy:
With socialism, you have only one monkey throwing darts at a board.
With capitalism, you have thousands of monkeys throwing darts at a board.
In the end, your world is still run by a bunch of monkeys. But one of them will get it right.
With capitalism, you have thousands of monkeys throwing away their votes :)
