The Alchemy of Web Products
One of the paradigms prevalent in web product development nowadays is that time to market is king. Put your product out there, learn and improve it over time.
If your product is golden but just needs some polish – then this just may work. However, time to market and board pressure are often used as excuses to cut corners and launch half-baked ideas, or to simply not invest much.
‘Lead’ products will never become golden through some post launch alchemy. Whether your user base will recover from the lead poisoning, that is another story.
